Council approves January survey distribution, keeps public-safety building to a later separate survey

Councilor Mike Botelho reported the Planning Task Force and consultants are building a community survey and that a flyer with a code will direct residents to an online SurveyMonkey. The council approved distributing the first survey with January water bills, with responses due Feb. 7 or Feb. 14, and asked Clerk Anne Heywood to send weekly reminders to encourage participation.
Botelho said Planning and the task force preferred keeping the public-safety-building questions for a separate survey later in order to continue the safety-building exploration without delaying the broader community survey; the council agreed and approved proceeding with the January mailing. Mike Mumper asked that the public-safety building receive its own survey at a later date to preserve timing for project decisions.
The council instructed staff to coordinate with the village website and provide hard copies at the office for residents who prefer them.
