Council authorizes president to act with police and attorney on beach tree-vandalism investigation

Council members said they expected the president to consult the police and attorney before taking substantive steps and to update council members through the police or clerk’s office. No additional enforcement actions or arrests were reported during the meeting; the investigation status remained unresolved at adjournment.
The council also discussed signage and beach safety during the police report and planned to revisit site conditions in spring.
