Northern Local approves field trips, volunteers and adopts sick-leave policies

Board member Megan Miller moved to approve a slate of high school field trips for the 2024-25 school year — including visits to Central Ohio Technical College, Ohio University Athens, Muskingum University and JATC — and the board approved the motion 4-0. The board also approved sports and building volunteers for the year, such as Tom Conners as JV softball coach (pending certification/background check) and Mindy Snider as a building volunteer at Somerset Elementary.
On final reading the board adopted three sick-leave policies (po1432, po3432, po4432). The motion to adopt policies was moved by Board member Megan Miller, seconded by Board member Levi Dupler, and approved by roll call 4-0.
