At the July 9 meeting the Board of Sewer Commissioners agreed to appoint Dr. Scott Sobe as the board clerk after Sandy Slaven said she no longer wanted the role.
Slaven described clerk responsibilities to the board, saying the clerk reviews minutes, coordinates corrections with the minute-taker, and ensures agendas and minutes are posted to the town website. She emphasized that she does not physically post but coordinates the posting with town staff.
Commissioner (Clerk) moved that Dr. Scott Sobe become clerk; a fellow commissioner seconded the motion and the board approved it by voice vote. Commissioners discussed transition logistics including supporting the incoming clerk for the first months and making sure Anita (town staff) is notified to handle posting.
The board asked to consolidate priority lists and to ensure the clerk receives the master task list to maintain continuity.
