The Webb City Council on Oct. 14, 2024, approved the minutes from its September regular meeting, accepted the September treasurer’s report and authorized payment of $3,571.70 in October bills, with all recorded votes unanimous.
Councilmember Gibson moved to approve the September minutes; Councilmember Riley seconded and the minutes state that all present voted aye. Councilmember Hansen moved to approve the September Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Councilmember Ganzevoort; the minutes record an all-aye vote. A separate motion by Gibson, seconded by Ganzevoort, authorized payment of the October bills; that motion also carried with all present voting aye.
The October bill list includes payroll entries and vendor charges: Tim Sylvester (salary, $50.79), City Clerk Angie Smith (salary, $975.06), employer Social Security (EFTPS, $181.78), IPERS (retirement payment, $178.23), utility charges to Alliant Energy (library, community center, fire station, annex and street lights totaling multiple line items including $496.58 for street lights), Iowa Lakes Regional Water sewer payments ($72.50 each for library, fire station and community center), Premier Communications telephone ($90.92), and Grow’s Garbage services ($1,000.00). The minutes list total bills of $3,571.70 and show the local option tax at $0.00.
