Commissioners reviewed that the grant paid for demolition, window replacement, asbestos remediation and fire-suppression work. The commission heard that the grant is in its third year and that all funds will be spent by the end of June; Chair Malia Collins said she is still tabulating final invoices but expects to finish soon.
Marcia Hadenfeldt moved to approve the letter for the grant report, with the caveat that Collins should have time to finish the final numbers before submission; Anne Brown seconded. Collins abstained from the vote because of her involvement in the project. Recorded votes were: Hadenfeldt — Aye; Brown — Aye; Whitney — Aye; Collins — Abstain. The motion passed with three in favor and one abstention. Brian Whitney will sign the letter as Vice Chair since Collins recused herself from the vote.
Next steps: Collins will finalize outstanding figures and circulate the completed report to all commissioners prior to submission.
