Sanbornton authorizes contract with Overwatch Foundation to convert town services to .gov domain

The Sanbornton Selectboard voted unanimously June 17 to authorize the Town Administrator to enter into a contract with the Overwatch Foundation to convert town email and services to a .gov domain.
Town Administrator Trish Stafford presented a cost breakdown showing the project requires migration to Microsoft 365 and an Exchange server. Stafford said a grant from the Overwatch Foundation would pay most implementation costs for the town and the Police Department and would cover the first three years of service.
Selectman Brandon Deacon said town committee and board members should have town email addresses for official business to reduce the risk of NH RSA 91-A violations, and Stafford said committee secretaries could be given addresses to distribute information to members. Deacon moved to authorize the administrator to contract with Overwatch as presented in the confidential June 10, 2026 report; Selectman Mark Brown seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board authorized the administrator to proceed; the confidential report dated June 10, 2026 is the record of the recommendation and budget estimates, and the contract will be executed by the Town Administrator.
