Sanbornton commission approves MOU revenue split, event funding and $30,053 revolving-fund repayment

The Sanbornton Recreation Commission on June 9 approved a memorandum of understanding that sets the department’s revenue split at 50% for programs, 25% to the town and 25% to the Town Park Capital Reserve Fund.
Colleen Longo moved to approve the draft MOU as presented; Kerri Federico seconded the motion and the commission voted unanimously to adopt the arrangement. Recreation Coordinator Amanda Pelissier told members the allocation was set in the draft she presented and did not specify an effective date beyond the commission’s approval.
The commission also approved several one-time expenditures and a repayment from the Recreation Revolving Fund. Riendeau moved and Federico seconded a $500 appropriation for a Movie in the Park event; members said Riendeau will supply screen and sound equipment and staff will contact the Sanbornton Public Library and vendor Swank Motion Picture for licensing and logistics. The commission approved a $300 allocation for bike night (motion by Riendeau, seconded by Colleen Longo), and voted to repay the Town of Sanbornton $30,053 from the Revolving Fund (motion by Federico, seconded by Riendeau).
Members accepted a donation from Chief Dexter of a pet cleaning station to be placed at the Town Park, noting the gift would bring the park’s total to two such stations. The commission also approved financial aid for Summer Day Camp during a brief nonpublic session; the public minutes do not identify recipients or amounts.
Pelissier reported Summer Day Camp is full, with an open house for incoming families set for June 24 and day camps scheduled for June 25–26. The commission adjourned at 8:35 p.m. and scheduled its next regular meeting for Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Old Town Hall.
