The Sanbornton Recreation Commission voted June 9 to approve an $8,168 initial payment to enroll the town in the CivicPlus Recreation Management Program. The commission authorized the expense to come from the Recreation Revolving Fund and agreed staff will return with options for annual costs at a later meeting.
The motion to fund the initial term was made by Jax Riendeau and seconded by Kerri Federico; the vote was unanimous. Recreation Coordinator Amanda Pelissier will draft a letter to the Board of Selectmen seeking their final approval of the contract and the associated fiscal commitment.
Commissioners said the program’s billing and reporting functions had been clarified in a meeting between a CivicPlus representative, Pelissier, Assistant Coordinator Mindy DeFosse and the Town Administrator. The commission did not set a recurring annual appropriation; members said they will review ongoing costs in a future meeting before committing to a yearly budget line.
The commission’s action was procedural and contingent on Board of Selectmen approval; no additional contract details or timelines for full implementation were provided during the meeting.
