The Winter Harbor selectmen voted Sept. 8 to approve routine financial items and heard an investment presentation from Bar Harbor Bank and Trust portfolio managers.
In roll-call items, the board approved the Selectmen meeting minutes of Aug. 25, 2025 (recorded as Approved 2-0), approved Warrant #10 (dated Sept. 2, 2025) and Warrant #11 (dated Sept. 5, 2025) (recorded as Approved, vote shown as 3-0), and approved the Treasurer’s Report dated Sept. 5, 2025 (recorded 3-0). The Tax Collector’s Report dated Sept. 5, 2025 was also approved (3-0).
The Treasurer’s Report lists a Trio-General Ledger balance of $461,904.18 and a six-month certificate of deposit totaling $105,382.87. The minutes also record investment/bond market values listed in the report ($3,522,980.90 and $2,977,111.23 for the months shown). Payroll and accounts payable were recorded as Town P/R #10 $16,241.07 and Town A/P #11 $145,542.19, for a combined total of $161,783.26.
The Tax Collector’s report shows taxes receivable and collection rates of FY25: $25,258.80 (98.98% collected) and FY24: $3,712.75 (99.82% collected).
