Northern Local holds two executive sessions: audit review with auditors and later personnel discussion

At 6:31 p.m. the board moved into executive session to meet with Wilson, Shannon and Snow, Inc. to review the district’s 2023–24 financial audit; the motion was approved 3–0. The board returned to open session at 6:57 p.m. The public minutes record only that the board met with the external auditors; no audit findings or deliberations are recorded in the public portion of the minutes.
Later in the meeting, at 7:34 p.m., the board again entered executive session for matters related to appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion or compensation of an employee or the investigation of charges or complaints against an employee or student, consistent with statutory exceptions for personnel matters. The motion passed 3–0 and the board returned from that executive session at 7:47 p.m.
Both executive sessions were authorized by recorded motions; the public minutes do not disclose the substance of discussions held in closed session.
