Livingston County honors employees for 10- and 25-year service milestones

The Livingston County Board of Supervisors held its 29th annual Employee Recognition Ceremony on June 24, 2026 in Geneseo to honor county employees who have reached 10- and 25-year service milestones.

"I would like to welcome everyone to our 29th annual employee recognition," Chairman David LeFeber said in opening remarks, calling the event a chance "to recognize, thank and show our appreciation of our 10 & 25 year employees." County Administrator Shannon Hillier praised the honorees’ dedication and described their work as deeply meaningful to neighbors, families and local businesses. "Today we celebrate an extraordinary group of public servants whose dedication, professionalism, and commitment help make our county a better place to live and work," Hillier said.

Clerk of the Board Michele Rees managed the awards presentation and asked recipients to visit the receiving line formed by the chairman, county administrator and committee chairs for photographs. Committee chairs Dwight Knapp, Merilee Walker and Jerry Deming joined the receiving line.

Awardees named in the meeting record included department heads and staff across Human Services and Public Services: 10-year honorees Sue Carlock (Office for the Aging Director), Hayden Dadd (Conflict Defender), and employees from the Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, Department of Health, Department of Social Services, County Clerk, Highway Department and Sheriff’s Office. Twenty-five-year honorees included Rene Dietz and Holley Hillier (Department of Social Services) and others named during the presentation. The meeting record lists additional recipients by name and department.

Vice Chair Dan Pangrazio closed the program with thanks, and a motion to adjourn was made by Pangrazio and seconded by Mr. Wester; the board adjourned at 2:00 p.m. and scheduled its next regular meeting for July 8, 2026 at 1:30 p.m.
