The Lake County board unanimously approved a slate of appointments to four advisory bodies on a series of 4-0 votes.
Board members appointed Beverly Benedict Hill to the Animal Care and Control Advisory Board after a fellow board member said they were "very happy that Miss Hill has decided to come back to the committee" following her service on the grand jury. A board member moved the appointment and the motion was approved unanimously.
During discussion of the Middletown Cemetery District nomination, one participant identified themself as "Ollie." A motion to appoint the nominee was made, seconded and approved 4-0; the spelling of the nominee's name in the meeting record is inconsistent and is noted as recorded in the transcript.
The board also approved the appointment of Bonnie Blumenthal to the Behavioral Health Advisory Board. A board member moved the appointment; it was seconded and carried unanimously.
Finally, the board approved appointments to the Resource Conservation District, appointing Harry Lyons, Kate Hopper Schmidt and Mary Jo Velasquez. The motion to appoint the three candidates passed by the same unanimous margin.
All four motions were taken without public comment and were recorded as carrying "4 0." The meeting proceeded to the next agenda item after the approvals.
