RSU 23 board accepts second readings of multiple student and administrative policies

The RSU 23 School Board voted unanimously Dec. 19 to accept second readings of a group of district policies covering student conduct, early graduation, life-sustaining emergency care and volunteer procedures.
Barbara Roberge read the second readings of JIC (Student Code of Conduct), IKFA (Early Graduation), IHBAK (Life Sustaining Emergency Care), IJOC (Student Volunteers) and IJOC-E (School Volunteers Form). Santino Perrone moved to accept all second readings; Peter Flaherty seconded. The board chair called for a vote and "all in favor" was recorded; the motion passed.
At the same meeting Roberge also read first readings of IJNDB (Student Computer and Internet Use and Internet Safety), IJNDB-R (Student Computer and Internet Use Rules), EGAD (Copyright Compliance) and EGAD-R (Copyright Compliance Administrative Procedure). Those items were presented for future consideration.
The board did not record a roll-call vote in the minutes; the motion was noted as approved by unanimous consent. No amendments or additional conditions to the policies were recorded at the meeting.
The board adjourned at 6:40 p.m. after routine committee reports and other business.
