RSU 23 board adopts updated child-abuse reporting and prevention policies

Barbara Roberge read the second reading of policy JLF — Child Abuse Reporting, Prevention and Education — and JLFA — Child Sexual Abuse Prevention and Response. Donna Moutsatsos moved to adopt both policies; David Boudreau seconded the motion, and the board approved it without recorded dissension.
Board members said the policies were revised in response to changes in state law. The board did not detail additional implementation steps at the meeting but confirmed the updates were adopted and will be reflected in the district’s policy manual.
