Commissioners also discussed a proposed Temporary Zoning Ordinance under consideration in nine towns that would impose a two‑year moratorium on major changes to current land use while comprehensive zoning rules are developed and adopted. The minutes state that "there are a few Towns that are not interested at this time," and no formal motion or vote on the moratorium was recorded.
No formal action was taken on the Land Division Ordinance itself at the June 10 meeting; the item was noted as having been sent for legal review, which county staff said is the next procedural step before the commission takes further action.
