Calumet council confirms 2025 board and committee appointments

At its Jan. 21 meeting the Calumet City Council approved its 2025 board and committee appointments.
The slate named Scenic Range News Forum as the official newspaper and listed legal counsel as Brian Bengtson, John Dimich and the Itasca County Attorney’s Office. Bolten & Menk was named city engineer; designated depositories included Park State Bank, First National Bank of Coleraine and the LMC 4M Fund. Insurance agencies listed were Itasca Reliable and LMC. The council designated Dan Strand as mayor pro tem and made multiple board appointments, including Steve Serich and Barbara Banks to the Greenway Joint Powers Fire Board and appointments to the Library Board and Cemetery Board. April Bouchie was appointed to a three-year term on the Library Board.
Barbara Banks moved to approve the list of appointments; the motion was seconded by Steve Serich and carried unanimously.
