Sunrise Engineering outlines sewer line route and 85 kW generator timetable for Thayne
Summary
Sunrise Engineering told the Thayne council the 85 kW Cummins East Booster generator and transfer switch are expected soon and that a proposed North Sewer Line Project—with easements in progress—could connect about 7–8 properties, crossing Butch Robert’s land and county shop property with approvals.

Engineer Kade Smith briefed the Town of Thayne council on three infrastructure items: the East Booster generator, the North Sewer Line Project and the facility plan.
On the generator, Smith said the 85 kW Cummins generator and transfer switch are still outstanding from the manufacturer’s quoted 10-week timeframe but were expected to arrive next week. He described the unit as approximately 6 feet wide and 4 feet tall.
On sewer work, Smith said survey data have been received and final easement descriptions are being prepared. He outlined the planned route: running diagonally across Butch Robert’s property (designed to accommodate future development), north of the canal, alongside the canal, crossing through an area near the county shop (with county approval), and then along the road to tie into the last manhole on the route. “The project has the potential to connect 7-8 properties to the sewer system,” Smith said.
Smith also reported that final sections of the town’s facility plan are being completed and reviewed by Robert (name as in transcript). The council did not ask follow-up technical questions during the report.
Next steps noted in the discussion include completing easement descriptions and coordinating county approvals where the line crosses county-managed property. Timing for property connections will depend on final easement agreements and subsequent construction scheduling.
