River Ridge CDD adopts FY 2024–25 budget and approves special assessments
Summary

Cleo Adams, district manager, opened a public hearing on the District’s proposed fiscal year 2024–25 budget and said the version in the agenda contained errors that staff corrected before the vote. No members of the public spoke during the hearing.
On a motion by Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Robert Twombly, the board adopted Resolution 2024-07, relating to annual appropriations and adopting the budget for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2024, as amended. The board voted unanimously to approve the amended budget.
Tony Pires, district counsel, recommended opening a public hearing on the district’s proposed special assessments. No property owners spoke. The board instructed staff to delete references to an “Exhibit B” throughout the draft assessment resolution. On a motion by Blumenthal, seconded by Twombly, the board adopted Resolution 2024-08 imposing special assessments for fiscal year 2024–25, unanimously.
The board’s actions followed staff corrections to line items noted by a supervisor (including a street‑sweeping description) and procedural edits to the assessment roll language. The meeting record shows the board approved the budget, authorized budget amendments going forward, and certified the assessment roll with the edits noted.
The district’s next meeting is scheduled for Sept. 4, 2024, when staff may present additional budget details or follow-up items required by the district’s finance procedures.
