Selectboard addresses ATV restrictions, runoff and $43,000 salt-shed quote

Juergens also told the board a contractor quoted a salt shed at approximately $43,000 that would hold about 100 tons of road salt; the board has not yet received the physical quote and will address procurement at a future meeting.
He also reported water runoff in front of Center Cemetery is currently trickling onto the road; the board will monitor erosion and take action if conditions deteriorate. Separately, the board discussed the open maintenance/public works position, which has been posted locally and on social media; minutes note Lynch LLC has offered to do some road work and mowing but would not accept all of the previous employee’s duties.
No formal regulatory changes or procurement contracts (beyond signing a Lynch LLC road maintenance contract among the documents) were finalized in this meeting; the salt-shed figure is a vendor quote to be followed up at the next meeting.
Next steps: board to seek the written salt-shed quote, monitor drainage at Center Cemetery, remove illegally posted signs on telephone poles, and continue recruitment for the maintenance/public works vacancy.
