Selectboard to investigate CPCNH switch after residents report loss of Eversource discount

The Stratford Selectboard said it will investigate reports that some residents lost an Eversource discount after switching to Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire (CPCNH), following a concern raised during the Dec. 30 meeting.
Suzanne Goulet, a staff member, said the issue came to the board’s attention during a discussion with Michelle Bennett, a resident. Goulet said the board reached out to Tri County Cap, which advised that the resident was receiving the discount; however, the bills shown to board members did not display the discount. Goulet said the board will look into the discrepancy further.
The board also noted that tax-deeded property letters had been returned with no signatures and that Library Hall, LLC needs a lot-line adjustment that will require two public meetings to be posted under RSA-2. Those items were raised as separate administrative matters during the same segment of the meeting.
Board members did not take formal action resolving the CPCNH/discount question at the meeting; they recorded the complaint and began inquiries that staff will continue. The Selectboard did not provide regulatory authority or a timetable for completing the inquiry during the meeting.
