Board declines walking trail at Fireman’s Park for now; will monitor future planning

The Board resumed discussion of Fireman’s Park open-space options at the end of the Aug. 4 meeting after amending the agenda earlier in the session.
Members discussed the possibility of a walking path from the park parking lot up to the hilltop and considered several options. After discussion, the Board decided not to add the walking trail at this time and agreed to continue monitoring the park as future planning progresses.
No formal motion to construct a trail was adopted; the Board’s action was to defer construction while continuing to evaluate park needs in planning work.
