Board approves consent agenda, several vendor agreements and readopts plans for 2026–27

The Valley Central School District Board of Education approved a slate of routine and contract items at its July 8 meeting.
After adopting the consent agenda (items C through H) and approving two walk-on items (accepting the resignation of Ivan Toltino and authorizing the posting for the vacancy), trustees moved through new business. The board readopted the district code of conduct and plain-language summary (after a public hearing with no comments) and the district guidance plan; one trustee suggested the name "guidance" be modernized to "school counseling" to align with state terminology.
The board also approved the 2026–27 professional learning plan and the district’s multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) plan, each by unanimous voice vote.
Trustees approved multiple contract and agreement items, including an athletic supply and service bid award and agreements with ComSource Inc., SJ and Associates, CS Arch for architectural services tied to 2026 capital projects, Palumbo Group for construction management services, Mount Saint Mary’s College and Therapeutic Horizons. Most motions were moved, seconded and passed 7–0.
