Temple Planning Board approves minutes, discusses grants, mapping and schedules floodplain meeting

The Temple Planning Board approved the draft minutes from its March 17, 2026 meeting after a motion by Bruce Kullgren Jr. and a second by Matt Cabana; the record shows five yes votes with Randy Martin and Kent Perry recorded as abstentions. The board later approved adjournment by roll call and ended the meeting at 8:40 pm.
Kent Perry briefed members on the SWRPC Ten-Year Transportation Improvement Plan, noting Temple is affected mainly by block grant funding and generally does not pursue bridge funding because of the higher costs and additional requirements those projects impose. Christine Robidoux said she expects to file the final report for the SWRPC HOP grant this week.
Members reviewed a set of routine old-business items: signatures are needed for the Morninglight Farm PRD (Bruce and Jim to sign; Carole Singelais available in the town office), and signatures are also pending for the David Corliss lot-line adjustment, which Matt Cabana said he will file at the registry when ready. Christine Robidoux told the board that tax-map updates are slightly over budget and will require Select Board approval before proceeding. Chair Russ Huntley said he will incorporate minor edits into the updated zoning ordinance.
Bruce Kullgren Jr. arranged a meeting with Stephanie of the NH Office of Planning and Development to discuss the town's floodplain ordinance on April 16 at noon and asked members to submit questions in advance; he said he will schedule the meeting with the town office and Russ will post it. The board also noted upcoming webinars and training opportunities from NHOPD, NHMA and NHDES.
