Manna Resource Center outlines new programs, aims to move into shared building by year-end

Erin White of Manna Resource Center told the committee July 9 that Manna provides coaching and resource navigation, education and wellness services to families and individuals and is launching a fatherhood initiative on Sept. 1.
"Our mission is really to walk alongside our neighbors, focusing on two core things, empowerment and transformation," White said, outlining programs that include five coaches and an integration specialist, evidence-based outcome measurement and free coaching services.
White said last year’s graduates increased their income 93% on a self-sufficiency scale and that graduates completed 230 goals (a 79% completion rate). She described plans to occupy a new building on Cherry Hills Community Church’s campus by the end of the year — possibly as early as November — that will co-locate Manna and the community food pantry, expand services and support strategic planning.
White also noted Manna accepts Medicaid for clinical services, is seeking credentialing to accept private insurance and will launch a nurturing-fathers program Sept. 1. No board action was taken at the committee meeting; the update was informational.
