At its Nov. 21 regular session, the Carter County Board of Commissioners approved the Fiscal Year 2023–24 Budget Calendar and multiple budget amendments across several funds, and accepted donations and administrative items.
Motions included approval of Budget Amendment #101-3 totaling $18,240.56 (with $9,517.28 from Unassigned Fund Balance and $6,623.28 from restricted funds), a Health Fund amendment of $6,756.00, General Purpose School Budget Amendment #141-3 for $29,741.47, and School Cafeteria Fund amendment #143-2 for $13,342.24. The board also approved monetary and non-monetary donations to the Animal Shelter and a slate of notaries and bonds.
Other routine actions included renaming A.E. Miller Road to “Backwoods Road” and declaring highway department vehicles surplus. The motions were recorded as carried in the minutes, generally by unanimous roll call or voice votes as indicated.
