Hartford council approves Dublin Downs extraterritorial plat, two-lot survey and adopts annexation ordinance

City Planner Jacob Maas explained that approving the extraterritorial preliminary plat for Dublin Downs Subdivision (Resolution No. 3769) ensures compliance with the intergovernmental agreement between the City of Hartford and the Town of Erin; Planning Staff and the Town of Erin recommended approval. The council adopted Resolution No. 3769 by motion; the transcript records the motion carried unanimously.
The council also adopted Resolution No. 3770 to approve a Certified Survey Map combining 278 North Pike Lake Drive and 264 North Pike Lake Drive. Planner Maas said combining the two lots was a condition of site-plan review and that one lot is non-conforming; the Planning Commission had approved the Certified Survey Map at its April meeting. The council approved Resolution No. 3770 by motion, recorded as carried unanimously.
On first reading, Ordinance No. 1534 (annexing territory to the City of Hartford) was considered and, after a motion to suspend the rules for immediate consideration, the council moved to adopt the ordinance immediately. Planner Maas noted the city owns the parcels (purchased in 2004) and that a covenant requires the parcels remain parkland. The council adopted Ordinance No. 1534 by unanimous vote.
