Cushing selectmen approve warrants, post Office Assistant job and hold executive session

The Cushing Board of Selectmen approved administrative business and personnel actions at its Aug. 8 meeting.
Selectman Daniel Staples moved, seconded by Laurie Haynes, to approve Warrants #29 and #30; the motion carried 5-0-0. Selectman Martha Marchut moved, seconded by Laurie Haynes, to approve the minutes of the July 25 meeting; the motion carried 3-0-2 with Selectmen Daniel Staples and Heidi Alley abstaining because they had not attended that meeting.
The board entered executive session at 6:38 p.m. under 1 M.R.S.A. §405(6)(A) to discuss a personnel matter and reconvened at 6:50 p.m. After returning, the board voted to post the Office Assistant position (motion by Laurie Haynes, seconded by Heidi Alley; carried 5-0-0).
Selectman Daniel Staples moved, seconded by Heidi Alley, to adjourn at 6:55 p.m.; the motion carried 5-0-0. The minutes were recorded and submitted by Town Clerk Lisa M. Young.
