CUSHING, Maine — The Cushing Selectmen on July 25 approved routine administrative items, finalized two property actions and adjourned at 6:37 p.m.
The board voted 3-0 to approve Warrants #27 and #28 after a motion by Selectman Laurie Haynes, seconded by Selectman Martha Marchut. The board also voted 3-0 to approve the minutes of the July 11, 2016 meeting after a motion by Selectman Martha Marchut, seconded by Selectman Laurie Haynes.
Chairman Alton Grover reported that the town’s surplus fire truck was sold for $3,500. Grover said the buyer accepted that the department had removed the lights and that three holes on the roof had been covered with tape; the buyer was comfortable proceeding despite those issues.
The board signed a quitclaim deed transferring Map 006 Lot 005 to Gary Grant; the minutes note he was the only person to bid on the property at the previous meeting. The board then voted to adjourn at 6:37 p.m.
