Procedural votes: Selectman Daniel Staples moved, seconded by Laurie Haynes, to approve Warrants #33 and #34; the motion carried 5-0-0. Selectman Martha Marchut moved, seconded by Laurie Haynes, to approve the minutes of Aug. 22, 2016; the motion carried 5-0-0.
Ordinance and hearings: The board voted unanimously to amend the Town of Cushing Building Notice Ordinance to reference the state statute and to place the amendment on the Nov. 8 ballot. The board also voted to hold a public hearing on Oct. 10 at 6:00 p.m. before the Selectmen meeting to hear public comment.
Executive session and adjournment: Chairman Alton Grover moved, seconded by Daniel Staples, to enter executive session at 7:40 p.m. under 1 M.R.S.A. §405(6)(E) (consultation with legal counsel) and 1 M.R.S.A. §405(6)(A) (personnel matters); the motion carried 5-0-0. The board returned to open session at 7:45 p.m. by motion of Martha Marchut, seconded by Daniel Staples, and adjourned at 7:48 p.m. on a motion by Daniel Staples, seconded by Laurie Haynes (all votes 5-0-0).
