Cairo board approves $195,577.80 in payables, accepts sewer billing and waives SLA waiting period for local restaurant

The resolution included a fund-by-fund breakdown: General Fund $91,673.43; Hydrant $9,385.00; Highway $39,686.98; Street Lighting $6,128.96; Sewer Fund $29,656.94; Trust & Agency $1,697.64; Water Fund $17,348.85. The motion carried with recorded aye votes from Supervisor Jason Watts, Council Member Bogins, Council Member Cords and Council Member Murphy; Council Member Flaherty was absent.
The board accepted the Sewer Administrator's Sewer Use Billing (Resolution No. 2025-061) in the amount of $29,717.12 dated Feb. 1, 2025, and recorded it in the minutes as authorized by the board.
The board also approved Resolution No. 2025-054 authorizing Supervisor Jason Watts to sign the 2025 Greene County contract for the Town of Cairo Summer Recreation Program at Angelo Canna Town Park.
Separately, Resolution No. 2025-053 agreed to waive the New York State Liquor Authority's 30-day local notice waiting period for Tom's G Spot LLC (The G.) at 273 Main Street so the Town Clerk may forward a certified copy of the resolution to the applicant and the State Liquor Authority.
Votes on these municipal finance and administrative items were recorded as unanimous among attending members; no additional discussion was recorded in the minutes.
