Karen Halbo, Staff Counsel, reported that the fiscal analysis for proposed Prehearing and Hearing Regulations has been approved and that she is reviewing suggestions and revising the Appeal Initiation Regulations text. Presiding Administrative Law Judge Sam E. Lucas said he is scoring written exercises for the ALJ position and conducting small stakeholder meetings to examine reasons for steadily increasing hearing lengths.
Executive staff reported hiring activity: Scott Pease said the new Attorney, Camille Dixon, began work with OSHAB on June 16, 2026; an Analyst I position was approved and posted the same week; a candidate is being selected for an ALJ role and an Analyst II position is in preparatory stages.
