Holland Board grants several alcohol licenses, approves Windmill Beach fireworks permit

At its June 8 meeting the Town of Holland Board of Supervisors approved multiple retail alcohol licenses and issued a fireworks permit for a July 4 display.
The board granted a Retail Class “A” and related tobacco/vaping sales license to AAA CG Travel Center, Inc. (applicant Kamaljit Singh), with issuance contingent on written confirmation from Badger Liquor that a delinquent retail hold has been cleared and on payment of the first installment of 2025 real estate taxes for the property at N905 Sauk Trail Road, including interest and penalties. Supervisor Benjamin Morrison moved approval; Supervisor Douglas Hamilton seconded; the motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
The board also approved Retail Class “A” licenses for Holland Country and Garden Store (Kevin Claerbaut); Regular Class B licenses for Mirror Bar (Mary Ann Bichler); and a Reserve Class B and Regular Class B license for Blue Barn on the Green (Freund Hospitality Group LLC, Jeffrey Freund). Each motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
Earlier in the meeting, the board approved a Class C fireworks permit for a Windmill Beach Association display at N936 Windmill Beach Road for July 4, 2026, or a weather-permitting alternate date. Motion by Supervisor Douglas Hamilton, seconded by Supervisor Benjamin Morrison, carried by unanimous voice vote. Clerk-Treasurer Janelle Kaiser notified the first responding fire department of the permit application on June 5 and will send letters notifying the first responding fire department and the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department of the permit issuance.
