At its June 1 meeting the Holland Plan Commission reviewed several ongoing land‑use matters, including an expired motel license, a separate enforcement matter, and progress on farmland-preservation recertification.
Clerk Janelle Kaiser told the commission she informed Sheboygan County Health and Human Services that the owner of the property at N666 County Road LL confirmed that rental stays are limited to one week and that the owner was not aware their county motel license had expired. The clerk said the item will be removed from the commission’s agenda until further notice.
Commission members also raised enforcement at W3070 Hoitink Road. Chair David Huenink reported the Town Board sent a cease-and-desist letter to the property owner on March 13, 2026, and at the Board’s most recent meeting reached consensus to have the Town Attorney send a final warning letter.
Separately, the town is preparing to submit an application to the state for recertification of its farmland-preservation zoning ordinance. Remaining tasks for the application include updates to the town’s zoning and farmland-preservation maps and the codification of the Town ordinance.
During public input, William Bannier asked where Town Board Resolution 2026-03 could be found on the town website; the clerk did not record a detailed reply in the minutes. The commission took no formal vote on these items at the meeting.
