The Holland Plan Commission on June 1 unanimously recommended that the Town Board approve a two-part rezoning application from Peter DePagter for parcel 59006072433 on DeMaster Road.
The commission voted 7-0 to recommend rezoning 4.530 acres from A-5 to R-1 and 6.716 acres from A-5 to A-3, contingent on Sheboygan County approval and execution of the boundary line adjustment shown on the submitted merger survey. The motion was made by Commissioner David Mueller and seconded by Commissioner Roy Teunissen; all members present voted yes.
Chair David Huenink opened a public hearing on the request at 7:35 p.m. and invited comment. Attendee Cal Wynveen asked for clarification on the parcel’s location; no additional public comments were offered and the hearing was closed at 7:38 p.m. The commission’s recommendation now goes to the Town Board for final action and remains subject to the county’s review and the applicant’s completion of the boundary adjustment.
The motion and roll-call vote were recorded in the minutes as: Brody Stapel — Yes; Roy Teunissen — Yes; Matt Teunissen — Yes; Craig Droppers — Yes; David Mueller — Yes; Bryan Kaiser — Yes; David Huenink — Yes.
If the Town Board approves the recommendation and the county signs off on the rezoning and boundary adjustment, the parcel will include newly zoned R-1 and A-3 acreage as described in the application.
