Public information meeting set after selectmen change LOTCIP trail alignment

The Bolton Heritage Farm Commission said a Public Information Meeting on the LOTCIP trail design is expected April 21 or 22 at the request of Jim Rupert. Chairman Arlene Fiano told commissioners she met with Rupert and Joe Dillon in February and was informed that the Board of Selectmen decided the trail will follow the stone wall rather than the original alignment Joe Dillon had designed.
Commissioners discussed funding constraints for the driveway: Arlene said CRCOG did not approve the use of LOTCIP funds for the driveway, and she and Building and Grounds Supervisor John Butrymovich are exploring alternative funding sources. Rhea Klein requested that driveway funding be added to the May agenda for further discussion.
The Commission agreed to hold a farm walk in May after garden cleanup and set the May meeting time for 4:00 p.m. at Bolton Heritage Farm so members can view the site and refine design goals ahead of the public meeting.
