Heritage Farm maintenance finished; manure pit filled, retention pit remains unsafe

Building and Grounds Supervisor John Butrymovich reported that spring landscape maintenance at Bolton Heritage Farm is complete, including WHIP Grant-area work, parking-lot regrading, window repairs and energizing and sanitizing the farm water system. He said Shamrock Tree Service removed a large pine branch and a birch limb that posed a hazard to a nearby house.
John told the Commission the concrete from the former manure pit has been removed and the pit has been filled. Rough grading was done around the edges and seeding was planned for the next day "if the ground is not too muddy," he said. When Chairman Arlene Fiano asked about a nearby retention pit, John said it remains too soft and dangerous to address at this time.
The Commission noted the work as completed and did not take further action at this meeting. The minutes record that the meeting was briefly interrupted by a compromised Zoom link at 7:20 p.m.; a new link was sent and the meeting reconvened at 7:38 p.m. John did not return after the interruption and Leslie Shea rejoined by telephone.
No expenditures or additional contractors beyond those reported were detailed in the minutes; the Commission did not vote on additional maintenance funding during this session.
