Bolton Heritage Farm Commission notes completion of manure-pit work, flags 5% grade issue on LOTCIP trail

The Bolton Heritage Farm Commission reported on maintenance and a pending design issue at its June 3 meeting, according to the emailed minutes.

Arlene Fiano, chair of the Bolton Heritage Farm Commission, called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. after members spent an hour cleaning the garden. The minutes list commission members Arlene Fiano, John Butrymovich, Kevin Drake, Paula Lynn, Bonnie Massey, Ann Maulucci and Leslie Shea as present.

Leslie Shea, a commission member and author of the minutes, moved to approve the April minutes; Paula Lynn seconded the motion. The minutes record the motion and second but do not include a vote tally or explicit result for that item.

"The last phase of the filling and grading of the old manure pit has been completed and grass is growing," the minutes state, noting that the Town Crew has been mowing the area. The completion was recorded as the commission's maintenance update.

Arlene Fiano reported there were no changes to the commission's accounts. The minutes say there has been no update on the library display case but that Rhea is hoping to prepare it for the next meeting. The commission also noted one unresolved design question for the LOTCIP (Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program) trail: whether a 5% grade is acceptable where the path crosses a driveway; the minutes say that determination remains to be made.

The minutes record there was no correspondence, no unfinished business and no new business at the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 5:50 p.m.; Paula Lynn made the motion to adjourn and Leslie Shea seconded.
