The Town of Avon submitted Application #812 to propose amendments to the Town of Avon Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Regulations concerning modifications to the upland review area, the commission recorded on June 2.
Emily Kyle, Planning and Community Development Specialist and the town’s wetlands agent, said the item was assigned an application number so a legal notice for a public hearing in July could be drafted. She told commissioners that the legal notice and the proposed regulation amendment were sent to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) as required by state review procedures.
The commission did not discuss the substantive text of the amendment at this meeting and the transcript does not include the proposed language. The record shows the town has followed the procedural step of filing the notice and sending required materials to CT DEEP; the public hearing will provide an opportunity for public comment on the proposed changes.
