Ordinance: Council member (S6) explained that Ordinance No. 2026-205 amends the unified zoning ordinance of Randolph County to specifically list community names and make small textual changes required by FEMA so the county can maintain flood-insurance participation. S6 said the area planning commission held a hearing and "favorably recommended" the amendment. The council adopted the ordinance on a single reading.
Other motions: The council also approved enrollment and reconciliation items, and a motion to purchase staff T-shirts and town-branded shirts was moved and seconded. Several routine items were tabled for further review, including lateral inspections and a fill-station meter.
