Warren committee forms volunteer subcommittee, earmarks consultant funds for Open Space & Recreation Plan

Members discussed scout and Eagle projects for boardwalk sections and signage, and the committee supported exploring recognition for regular volunteer groups on signage. The committee also reviewed budget guidance: a $5,000 operating allocation for small expenses and a $30,000 consultant/planning budget to support production of the Open Space & Recreation Plan (mapping, formatting, state compliance). Committee members noted that DPW trail work is funded from the DPW budget, not the committee's operating funds.
Next steps include Susan and Shelly drafting the volunteer subcommittee proposal for March, committee review of the September 2025 open space map and ERI draft, and use of consultant funds for technical mapping and compliance work where needed.
