Chair Bill Gilbert said the committee will focus on Dealaman, Coddington and Glenhurst this year, with members preparing photos and short write‑ups to strengthen grant applications and public outreach. Gilbert also said he would email section assignments to members to reduce confusion about responsibilities.
Committee members underscored that a stronger, more complete Open Space & Recreation Plan will improve the township’s competitiveness for future grants such as Green Acres, which committee members expect will award funds late in the year if Warren’s applications are successful. The committee discussed drafting several plan sections offline and convening future meetings to focus on goals and objectives.
The group asked township staff (Chris and Amanda) to provide an updated, legible map and legend aligned with the draft ROSI so members can finalize materials. Members noted current map printouts are difficult to use and requested a version suitable for public packets and grant submissions.
Action items from the meeting assigned specific parcel write‑ups: Kevin Anderson for Glenhurst; Bill Gilbert for Coddington; Susan Zeitels, Shelly Molnar and Shilpa Desai to collaborate on Dealaman. The committee also set its next meeting for April 9 at 6:30 p.m.
The committee recorded no formal vote on plan content beyond the assigned tasks; further direction and potential formal approvals are expected at subsequent meetings.
