Hibbing board approves 2026–27 service contracts, consulting work orders and insurance renewals

At its June 17 meeting the Hibbing Public School District board approved a slate of contracts and work orders for the 2026–2027 school year, and renewed the district's insurance coverages.
Contracts and agreements approved included: a purchase-of-service agreement with Soliant for virtual physical therapy services; a purchase-of-service agreement with Sheila Merzer as an autism consultant; a contract with Ostrom Consulting LLC for behavioral support services for July 1, 2026'June 30, 2027; and a client consulting services agreement and multiple work orders with NOVA Education Consultants including due process specialists (Kelsey Kiefer, Ariella Degner and Ashley Evans) and an occupational therapist mentoring work order with consultant Emily Bougher. Motions to approve these contracts were moved and supported by various directors and carried unanimously.
The board also approved renewals for property, liability, and workers'compensation insurance effective July 1, 2026'June 30, 2027; that motion carried unanimously. The board approved a health insurance premium renewal with the Northeast Service Cooperative for the period Sept. 1, 2026'Aug. 31, 2027; that motion carried with Chair John Berklich recorded as abstaining.
All contract periods recorded in the minutes for the listed vendors run July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 unless otherwise stated. The minutes do not include contract dollar amounts, fee schedules, or staffing levels for the vendors; those details would appear in the individual contracts on file with the district.
