The Hibbing Public School District board on June 17 approved a purchase-of-service agreement with Perrella and Associates to market and sell the district's Greenhaven property for $5 million.
The board had earlier amended the agenda to add a closed session to discuss the sale price of Greenhaven. Director Egan moved to add the closed-session item; Director Galatz supported the motion, which the board approved unanimously. The board then entered a closed session at 4:06 p.m. to discuss the sale price and returned to open session at 4:26 p.m.
Following the closed-session discussion, the board voted to approve the Perrella marketing agreement. The motion to approve the contract was moved by Director Egan and supported by Director Gabardi; the motion carried unanimously.
The minutes record the authorization to engage Perrella and Associates to market the property for a $5 million asking/marketing price but do not record further details of listing terms, commission, or whether the board adopted a minimum acceptable sale price. Those specifics were not specified in the minutes.
The board adjourned at 5:15 p.m. and the minutes were signed by Chair John Berklich and attested by Clerk Jeff Polcher.
