The engineering fee shown in the agenda was $7,000; staff discussed a total project estimate of roughly $180,000 covered by a Community Development Block Grant (CBDG). Road superintendent Todd Adair summarized a five‑year agreement with the U.S. Forest Service to maintain approximately 58.5 miles of trails the county already services; the Forest Service will reimburse the county $10,048 annually and the agreement runs through 2030. Other routine actions approved included a small state contract to support environmental health inspections related to used‑oil handling ($1,078), adoption of the certified property tax rate and revenue figures (the county’s certified tax rate increased slightly from 0.002666 to 0.002891), and a resolution confirming the county will not pursue a county‑option recreation/arts/parks sales tax — a request that had been made by Blanding City and accepted by the commission.
