Resident asks Ogdensburg to coordinate trapping of beaver dam affecting Mud Pond Road

Joel Delellis of Mud Pond Road told the council during public comment that he owns three houses on Mud Pond Road and that a beaver dam on Ogdensburg property is causing problems. Delellis said he contacted the state and that the landowner (Brean Aggregate) has declined involvement; he asked the borough for assistance.
Mayor George P. Hutnick said he has been in contact with the mayor of Franklin and that Franklin had received similar complaints; because the dam is located in Ogdensburg the mayor said he agreed to coordinate with Franklin and give permission if trapping is needed. The mayor asked Delellis to provide his phone number to the clerk for follow-up.
The council took no formal action at the meeting but the mayor said he would work with Franklin officials to address the matter and asked the resident to provide contact information.
