The Emery County Travel Board on April 14 tabled a decision on the county Eventeny subscription, approved radio advertising with KOAL, and completed routine business including approval of March minutes and presentation of a volunteer award.
Eventeny subscription: Board members discussed contract lengths, payment options and how event coordinators might change usage to be more efficient. Staff reported experience using Eventeny but the board rescinded an initial motion to approve the renewal in order to gather additional information about contract length and payment terms; a motion to table the item until next month (moved by Larry Johansen, seconded by Lacy Hardman) passed.
Radio advertising: Amanda Leonard presented KOAL’s quote as the best value for year-round event advertising. The board approved the KOAL radio advertising recommendation (motion by Larry Johansen, seconded by Judi Bishop).
Other routine business: The board approved the March minutes (motion by Larry Johansen, seconded by Lacy Hardman). Amanda Leonard presented the Energized Volunteer Award to Tia and Brandon Carter for service with the county fishing committee.
Next steps: Staff will return with additional contract-length and payment information for Eventeny at the next meeting.
