The Clay County Board of Commissioners approved a state grant agreement on July 7 that will reimburse county costs and expenses incurred by a local off‑highway vehicle volunteer group for maintenance of an art trail extending to the north county line.
County Engineer Justin Sorum presented the agreement and said it allows the county to be reimbursed for anything spent on the trail and for eligible costs incurred by the local volunteer OHV group. He characterized the contract as budget‑neutral, stating the annual reimbursements will cover county and volunteer costs.
Commissioner Ebinger moved to approve the grant contract (number 292935); the motion was seconded and the board approved the agreement by voice vote.
