Warren County JCPC approves minutes, directs committees and warns of accounting deadline

The Warren County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council met March 9, 2026. Marion Richards, chair, called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. and the council unanimously approved minutes for November 2025 (moved by Rev. Willie Boyd, seconded by Kimberli Meyers Coley), January 2026 (moved by Frankie Crawford, seconded by Kimberli Meyers Coley) and February 2026 — the latter approved subject to adding a van transportation discussion (moved by Eushownda Burton, seconded by Markeeta Littlejohn).
The council recorded several administrative action items. The Nominating Committee was reminded to schedule meetings to review and address membership vacancies. The Comprehensive Strategy Planning Committee (Risk & Needs Assessment) was directed to schedule meetings to discuss risks, needs, programming ideas and JCPC program implementation; Eddie Crews, the Central Area Consultant, and Chair Marion Richards were to be included for guidance.
Eddie Crews emphasized that third-quarter accounting reports are due and must be accurate. He asked programs to notify him before the next meeting if they detect underspending so adjustments can be made to prevent potential loss of funding. Members also requested that committee assignments be included in future agenda packets.
Other operational items included a member inquiry about why the American flag was not on the flagpole at the Armory Civic Center; Monique Hinton said she would investigate. The meeting adjourned at 1:00 p.m.; the next meeting is scheduled for April 13, 2026.
