The bid opened at the meeting identified Cheryl Reeves as the sole bidder with an offer of $41,374. The council took the bid "under advisement" and directed staff to prepare a final agenda item for a subsequent council meeting to consider closing and deed approval.
Council members noted the opening bid exceeded the advertised opening price by a substantial margin and asked staff and counsel to verify the bid documentation prior to final action. Attorney Auchin recommended staff confirm bid/check details and bring deed instruments to a future meeting if everything is in order.
Separately, the council voted 5‑0 to approve Resolution 1402 to authorize the disposal process for 14525 Bell Street under the statutory procedures for municipal property disposal.
